12 CCC ONE Line Items Auto Body Shops Forget to Supplement (And How to Get Them Paid)
These 12 CCC ONE line items are legitimate, documented, and routinely underpaid — because most shops don't know to ask for them.
The Hidden Money in Every CCC ONE Estimate
CCC ONE is the estimating platform used by the majority of insurance adjusters in the United States. It's also the source of most supplement disputes — not because CCC ONE is wrong, but because adjusters routinely exclude operations that CCC ONE's own P-pages say are legitimate, separately billable items.
Here are the 12 most commonly missed CCC ONE line items that auto body shops should be supplementing on every applicable claim.
1. Blend Time
Blend time is the labor required to blend adjacent panels for a color match. CCC ONE P-pages explicitly state that blend time is not included in refinish time and must be added separately. Adjusters frequently exclude it — cite the P-page directly in your supplement letter.
2. Corrosion Protection
Any time a weld seam, hem flange, or inner structure is exposed during repair, corrosion protection (weld-through primer, cavity wax) is required per OEM procedures. CCC ONE P-pages list corrosion protection as a non-included operation. Cite the OEM repair manual section that requires it.
3. Seam Sealer
Seam sealer is required at all factory seam locations per OEM procedures. Like corrosion protection, it is explicitly listed as a non-included operation in CCC ONE P-pages. Document which seams were exposed and cite the OEM requirement.
4. Foam/NVH Baffles
Many modern vehicles use foam baffles and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) materials in structural panels. These are destroyed during repair and must be replaced. They are not included in panel replacement labor times and must be supplemented separately.
5. Scanning (Pre and Post Repair)
Pre-repair and post-repair scanning is required on any vehicle with ADAS systems when a structural or electrical component is repaired or replaced. CCC ONE lists scanning as a separate, non-included operation. The scan report is your documentation — attach it to the supplement letter.
6. ADAS Calibration
Any ADAS component (radar, camera, lidar) that is removed, replaced, or affected by structural repair requires calibration per OEM procedures. Calibration is a sublet operation — document the sublet invoice and include it in the supplement.
7. Hazardous Waste Disposal
Hazardous materials (solvents, paints, contaminated materials) must be disposed of per EPA regulations. CCC ONE P-pages list hazardous waste disposal as a non-included operation that must be billed separately.
8. Masking (Complex)
Standard masking is included in refinish time. Complex masking — masking door jambs, engine compartments, glass, trim, and other areas to prevent overspray — is a separate, non-included operation per CCC ONE P-pages.
9. Tint Matching
On vehicles with factory tinted or special-formula paint, tint matching requires additional time and materials beyond standard refinish. Document the paint code and the additional mixing time required.
10. Sublet Operations
Any work performed by a third party (alignment, glass, mechanical, calibration) is a sublet operation. Sublets must be documented with invoices and included in the supplement. Adjusters frequently exclude sublets that aren't on the original estimate.
11. Storage Fees
If the vehicle is stored at your facility while waiting for parts or adjuster approval, storage fees are a legitimate supplementable item. Document the daily rate and the number of days.
12. Teardown Time
Teardown time — the labor required to disassemble a vehicle to identify hidden damage — is frequently excluded from initial estimates. It is a legitimate, separately billable operation per CCC ONE P-pages. Document the teardown in your supplement letter with a list of what was found.
